Katy Perry keeps it chic while attending Harper Bazaar’s Coachella Poolside Fete during the 2013 Coachella Music Festival held at the Parker Palm Springs on Friday (April 12) in Palm Springs, Calif.

The 28-year-old singer was seen posing for pics with DJ Mia Moretti at the event.

Coachella is an annual music and arts festival that kicks off today!
Madonna, Jay-Z, Florence and the Machine, and Kanye West are some notable musicians who have performed at the festival in the past years.Earlier in the week, Katy dolled up while attending the 2013 Coach Evening of Cocktails and Shopping, along with Orlando Bloom, in Santa Monica.

The mansion Russell Brand and Katy Perry barely lived in during their marriage has gone on the market for $6.925 million.

The former couple’s Hollywood Hills mansion which they resided in during their short-lived marriage has gone on the market for $6.925 million, according to RadarOnline.com.

The British comedian and the ‘Teenage Dream’ hitmaker hardly ever lived in the three-acre property – which they originally bought for $6.5 million – as Katy embarked on her nine-month ‘California Dreams’ world tour shortly after they wed at a tiger sanctuary in India in October 2010.

The two-story, 8,835-square-foot house boasts s even bedrooms and a whopping 11 bathrooms, with the outside area featuring two guest homes and a pool with a waterfall.

Katy and Russell officially lived in the house until the ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ star filed for divorce in December 2011.

The pop star has since dated musician and notorious womaniser John Mayer, but they split in March and Katy is rumoured to have been messaging Russell for support. It has also been alleged her eight-month romance broke down because she was constantly comparing John to her ex.

A source said: ”Katy reached out to him after she split with John, bemoaning her luck with men and Russell provided her with some much-needed reassurance.”

Katy Perry has visited Madagascar in aid of UNICEF.

The ‘Part Of Me’ singer jetted out to the Indian island last Tuesday (02.04.13) to raise awareness of the current situation in one of the poorest countries in the world, with the help of The United Nations Children’s Fund.

Katy, 28, viewed a variety of programmes highlighting the problems, including education, nutrition, health and child protection to water, sanitation and hygiene.

Her first stop was a slum in the capital of Antananarivo, where she stopped by a child protection centre to see how they help support abandoned and abused children and young mothers.

Speaking about her experience, Katy said in a statement: ”In less than one week here in Madagascar, I went from crowded city slums to the most remote villages and my eyes were widely opened by the incredible need for a healthy life – nutrition, sanitation, and protection against rape and abuse – which UNICEF are stepping in to help provide.

”I am grateful to UNICEF for giving me the opportunity to see first-hand how their programmes make a real difference in children’s lives. Support for UNICEF is saving children, I am a witness to it.”

The stunning star – who recently split from musician John Mayer – told her followers on Twitter about her trip on the day she left, writing: ”Heading to AFRICA tonight, no joke. (sic)”, accompanied with a video titled ‘Crazy Intense Lemer’.

She also shared her own realisations of how ”different” she finds life in the poverty stricken land.

She joked: ”I just watched what looked like a 7 year old girl make her own marmite sandwich. #differentplacesdifferenttastes (sic)”

Fireworks hit maker sparks rumors that her and ex-husband are getting back together.

Last Friday Night singer reportedly rang her former comedian partner as she needed comforting after her break-up with John Mayer.

A source told Radar Online: “Russell may appear like a comic book character, but he’s got a wise head on his skinny shoulders.

“Katy reached out to him after she split with John, bemoaning her luck with men and Russell provided her with some much-needed reassurance,” they added.

But it seems it wasn’t just advice that Katy got from the British 37-year-old but he also showered her with compliments.

The source added: “He flattered her with compliments and just listened to her every word. Russell also used his wit to cheer Katy up.”

They continued: “They were the best of friends when they were together, and despite the fact they are no longer married they’ve managed to stay civil to one another.”

The couple have caused fresh rumors that they are getting back together as Katy believes Russell is ‘the love of her life’.

They said: “She’s very respectful of Russell’s reasons for their break-up and would never overstep the line by begging for him to come back.”

Ellen DeGeneres wasted no time to ask John Mayer a sensitive subject when the 35-year-old singer visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Less than two weeks after splitting for the second time from singer Katy Perry, Mayer talked about it in public for the first time.

“The last time I saw you, you were at the Grammys,” said DeGeneres. “You were sitting on the same row as Portia and I with Katy. I know Katy, she is a good friend as well, and I know that since then, you’re not together any more.”

“Correct,” Mayer confirmed the breakup. However, he insisted on keeping the details private. “Listen, it was a very private relationship going in. It was a private relationship during, and it’s a private relationship, still,” he said.

Katy Perry has reportedly signed a $2 million deal to write her autobiography.

The ‘Firework’ hitmaker – who is currently dating John Mayer – is expected to discuss in detail her 14-month marriage to British comic Russell Brand in the tome, which will be called ‘Part of Me’ because she wants to put out her side of the story before her former spouse releases the next installment of his ‘My Booky Wook’ autobiographical series.

A source told The Sun newspaper: ”Several publishers have been after Katy for a while. She decided to go ahead so fans don’t have a one-sided story when Russell publishes another ‘Booky Wook.”’

The news comes weeks after Russell – who has written two books about his life, ‘My Booky Wook’ and ‘Booky Wook 2: This Time It’s Personal’ – confirmed he was discuss his relationship with the pop star in his third literary offering because he knows he can’t ignore something that was such a huge part of his life.

Russell – who split from Katy in December 2011 – said: ”I will write more Booky Wooks, I love writing those Booky Wooks and there’s a lot to cover. Maybe I’ll wait until I get married again or have more children before I write any more.

”You can’t write things about your life and not include things that happened in your life.”

Katy Perry was spotted with a heart-shaped diamond ring on her wedding finger after a romantic evening with John Mayer on Valentine’s Day. But after days of speculation that the happy couple were engaged, we find out that the sparkling piece of jewellery is just a commitment ring.

A source told The Sun: “He’s trying so hard to prove that his bad behaviour towards women has changed now. He saw the ring and thought it was a perfect gift for Valentine’s Day.”

In August last year, during rumours were circulated of her and John dating, Katy told said she would “never say never” to becoming a bride again. Sounds a bit like a Justin Bieber/Taylor Swift medley.

Katy added, “I guess you’d say. I’ll let love take the lead on that.”

Despite all of this, a source close to John told GossipCop the couple is still not engaged.
